Mordecai Margalioth was a prominent Talmudic scholar of the 20th century, specializing in the study of Judaism. Born on 13 October 1909, he devoted his life to the examination of ancient Jewish texts, including the Talmud and Midrash. His expertise also extended to Geonic literature, a field of study that focuses on the works of the Geonim, the intellectual leaders of Jewish communities in the Middle Ages.
