Levie Vorst

Levie Vorst was a Dutch rabbi who played a significant role in the Jewish community of the Netherlands. Born in 1903, Vorst went on to become a prominent figure in Dutch Judaism, serving as the rabbi of Rotterdam from 1946 to 1959. During this period, he worked to rebuild and strengthen the community, providing spiritual guidance and leadership.

Vorst's dedication and expertise ultimately led to his appointment as chief rabbi, a position he held from 1959 to 1971. As chief rabbi, he continued to serve the Jewish community, overseeing various aspects of religious life and providing guidance on matters of Jewish law and tradition.
