Jay Weinberg
American drummer
Jay Weinberg is a musician from the United States, recognized for his work as a drummer in various notable bands. As the son of Max Weinberg, a longtime drummer for Bruce Springsteen, Jay has been involved in the music scene, initially playing with the punk rock band the Reveling. His career gained momentum when he toured with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band in 2009, filling in for his father. Additionally, Weinberg had brief stints as the drummer for Madball in 2010 and played with Against Me! from 2011 to 2012.
Weinberg's most prominent role was as the drummer for Slipknot, which he joined in 2014, replacing Joey Jordison. He remained with the band until his departure in November 2023. Following his time with Slipknot, Weinberg went on to join Infectious Grooves in 2024, taking over the drummer position from Brooks Wackerman. He then became a member of Suicidal Tendencies, although his tenure with the band was short-lived, ending in early 2026. Throughout his career, Jay Weinberg has demonstrated his versatility and skill as a drummer, collaborating with a range of bands and artists across different genres.
