Heidi Ravven

American philosopher

Heidi Ravven is an American philosopher with a specialization in Jewish Philosophy. She has been a faculty member at Hamilton College since 1983, where she holds the position of Bates and Benjamin Professor of Classical and Religious Studies. Her academic focus includes Jewish Philosophy and general Jewish Studies, which she has taught throughout her tenure at the college.

In addition to her work at Hamilton College, Ravven is a Fellow in Neurophilosophy at the Integrative Neurosciences Research Program. This program is co-directed by notable scholars Vilayanur Ramachandran and Kjell Fuxe. Ravven has also held an international appointment as Visiting Professor of Philosophy at the School of Marxism at Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China, a position she held from 2017 to 2020.
